In this message from Colossians 1, Andrew addresses one of the most important questions a believer can ask: Who is Jesus?⁠

Paul writes to a young church in Colossae that was sincere but getting pulled in different directions by legalism and philosophical ideas. Instead of adding more voices, Paul points them back to Jesus with striking clarity: He is the image of the invisible God and the firstborn over all creation. “Firstborn” here does not mean Jesus was created; it means He is supreme, the rightful heir and ruler over everything. All things were created by Him, through Him, and for Him. He holds creation together, is the head of the church, and reconciles all things through His death on the cross.

The sermon calls listeners to see Jesus as He actually is—personal, sufficient, and the only way to the Father—rather than letting competing messages cloud that picture. Because of who Jesus is and what He has done, there is nowhere else to turn.
